Sound, audiophilia, high fidelity: so many words and notions have haunted musical reproduction for generations.

So many shifting currents capable of building reputations, igniting passion, raising questions, feeding fantasies—in short, sustaining an industry that has learned to become self-sufficient, sometimes at the risk of losing touch with the very spark that justified its inception.

Yet inspiration is not an abstract concept, nor can it be taught.

The drive to create stems from desire: an irresistible need to explore engineering in pursuit of the sheer joy of experiencing the sonic outcome.

One must understand the designer behind the work to glimpse the emotions that drive them; for today, I shall leave it to that personal realm to explain why KALLYSTE exists…

The distinctive atmosphere that permeates our atelier owes much to our enduring bond with the world of live music and our close, daily relationships with working musicians.

This is precisely one of the defining values linking us to Giuseppe ZINGALI, whose loudspeakers we have chosen to represent in France. They, too, are directly attuned to living, unamplified music (beyond its professional studio line, the ZINGALI enterprise encompasses its own live concert hall and recording studio).

High fidelity confined to an ivory tower is an empty, disconnected concept.

We shall have ample occasion to revisit our approach to technical creation—where the highest performance arises from the purest engineering thought—yet it is infinitely more compelling when existing in complete harmony with the musical purpose entrusted to it.
